Duration:40 minutes

Description:
Trent Brogner, famous Hollywood director has come to town to make his new movie: Alexander Selkirk- A True Story but his team have abandoned him. He needs a camera crew and actors to finish his movie and avoid disaster!

The English masterpiece Robinson Crusoe is based on the true story of Alexander Selkirk, Scottish sailor and pirate, who was abandoned on an remote island in the Pacific Ocean for almost five years at the start of the 18th century.

This show recounts Selkirk's story through the use of physical theatre, comedy and lots of audience participation in order to capture the imaginations of students while bringing them, quite literally, into Selkirk's world as they help director Trent Brogner tell this untold tale of courage and determination in the golden age of exploration.

Native-speaking actor Cathal Carroll brings this historical figure to life and places his story in an historical context using English language that is specially designed for each audience's level of comprehension.

Suitable for children from 6 to 13 years of age (the show is available in different formats for different ages).
